Hyatt’s Gold Passport members can expect some extra-special treatment next time they stay at one of the chain’s properties. Trend watching site Springwise reported recently on what it calls ‘random acts of kindness’ at Hyatt hotels, with a wide range of spur of the moment treats now authorised by management.
These treats can include the barman picking up your bar tab, complimentary massages or breakfasts thrown in for free. It’s a lovely idea, making the whole chain hotel experience feel much more human and spontaneous. And it’s a good bet that the new initiative won’t just prove beneficial for the hotel’s guests - I can imagine lots of Hyatt drinkers trying extra hard to strike up a cordial relationship with their barman now they know it’s in his power to underwrite their entire evening’s booze.
