CLOSING THE DEAL
BOHEMIA
GREEN STREET, ST HELIER
TEL. 01534 880588
Bohemia is Jersey’s only Michelin-starred restaurant and its head chef, Shaun Rankin, was a winner of the BBC’s Great British Menu. And it lives up to the hype – the à la carte menu is divine, offering such delights as scallops wrapped in pancetta with maple syrup, and warm-buttered Jersey lobster tail and crab, with homemade macaroni, crab and fennel ceviche. To get the true Bohemia experience, book onto the chef’s table, a booth that allows six people to eat while they watch Rankin at work in the kitchen.

KNOWLEDGE

The Jersey Live festival is a must for any visitor to the Island in September (www.jerseylive.org. uk). This year it is on during 5-6 September and welcomes some of the world’s most famous DJs, bands and musicians. It’s considered to be one of the best small music festivals in the UK.

Take a guided tour of the Island with a difference, and see the best Jersey has to offer from the back of a Harley Davidson motorbike. Limobikes (www.limobikesjersey.com) will even pick you up from the airport or take you from meeting to meeting.

Durrell Wildlife is one of the Island’s most famous landmarks, not just because of Jambo the gorilla, but because it works tirelessly to save near-extinct species (www.durrell.org). If you book you may even be able to catch an open-air theatre performance in the grounds.

SECRETS

Ever fancied a spot of puffin watching? If you head to the very western point of the Island, towards Corbière Lighthouse, you might be able to catch a glimpse of a puffin, a pod of dolphins, or even – if you’re really lucky – a sea lion (www.thisisjersey.com).
